Please join us on Sunday, December 2nd, 2pm - 5pm and shop to benefit Rogers Park Food Co-op at Ten Thousand Villages, 719 Main Street in Evanston. We hope you’ll come and buy something on December 2nd for that special someone because...
15% of sales from 2pm-5pm will be donated to the co-op. We will direct these funds to something our owners have been asking for: sponsored owner shares. Offering sponsored owner shares for community members who otherwise cannot afford to join will help make the co-op more inclusive. So, not only are you shopping at a fair-trade store, and buying a lovely gift for someone special, you are bringing the opportunity of ownership to a more diverse group.
Ten Thousand Villages is a special venue offering a unique shopping experience filled with hand-crafted one-of–a-kind items made by artisans from the developing world who are paid a fair wage. Come celebrate the holiday season in a warm and welcoming place and enjoy fair trade coffee, apple cider from Earth First farms, wine and cheese with our co-op owners and community members.
Please RSVP for this event. You can see the flier here.
